SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT:

The National Park Service (NPS) is conducting market research to determine the interest and capability of contractors for a possible upcoming need at Glacier National Park. This announcement is for Large Businesses, Small Businesses, Certified 8(a) Small Businesses, Certified HUBZone Small Businesses, Certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, Women-Owned Small Businesses, and/or Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises. All costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement shall be the responsibility of the firm. Any information submitted is voluntary. The Contracting Officer will make an acquisition strategy determination based on the results of all market research gathered.

Potential Need Overview: Provide all labor, materials, tools and other equipment necessary for fire extinguisher annual service, 6-year internal inspection and hydrostatic inspections/testing (estimated 150 units) for approximately 900 fire extinguishers throughout Glacier National Park. It is anticipated that work would begin in September 2025 and complete not later than early October 2025 as sites begin to lose accessibility due to snow.

Glacier National Park has approximately 314 miles of roadway. It is anticipated that a contractor performing this service could travel more than 450 miles to perform this required service.

The NAICS code for this project is 541990, All Other Professional, Scientific and Technical Services, with a small business size standard of $19.5M.

This market research is being conducted to acquire additional information about potential contractors that may be interested in and capable of performing this work. This is not a request for proposal (RFP) or request for quote (RFQ) and does not constitute any commitment by the Government to issue any solicitation. All interested firms must respond to future solicitation announcements separately from responses to this sources sought announcement.
